Classes

GVST offers monthly "Essentials of Gardening" classes which emphasize watersaving landscaping and gardening practices. They are open to the public and free, but we do request a $5 donation to help us cover expenses.

Classes are generally held the 3rd Monday of each month, 12:15-3pm, at San Antonio Garden Center (1333 N. New Braunels at Funston, next to the Botanical Garden).

Be sure to confirm the dates and locations here as they are sometimes subject to change.

Refreshments are provided, but you are free to bring a brown bag lunch. Bring your hand-pruning tools and have them sharpened by Dr. Phix-It for an additional $2 donation each tool.

You'll also want to know about the North East ISD and the Northside ISD Continuing Education classes taught by The Hill Country Gardener, Dr. Tom Harris. Tom is a founding member and past-president and attendance at these classes benefit GVST.
