Wednesday, April 21, 6pm-7:30pm CT
Presenter: Peter Hernandez
Zoom Presentation | Registration Required | FREE
Join us to learn about iNaturalist, a comprehensive community science website and app for exploring nature around you while recording your observations of wildlife and plants. Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalist and Native Plant Society of Texas board member Peter Hernandez leads this training to help you get started using iNaturalist both in the field and at home. You will learn how to make observations, join projects, and explore iNaturalist to deepen your understanding of nature. We will also discuss this year’s City Nature Challenge, April 30-May 3, 2021, an exciting event that promotes exploration and documentation of the natural world in your own community. Although this training will be on Zoom online, there will be time during the training for you to practice making observations in your own backyard. Training participants are encouraged to sign up for an iNaturalist account at https://www.inaturalist.org/ and download the iNaturalist app to your phone prior to the presentation. Approval pending for Alamo Area Master Naturalist Advanced Training.
