DESCRIPTION: Take advantage of this unique opportunity to attend a seminar presented by a noted San Antonio landscaper, who will provide all the information you need to plan, develop and maintain a Butterfly Garden. The presentation will focus on the importance of the Monarch butterfly and will describe 22 plants that provide nectar or larvae food sources.  Afterward, participants will take a guided walking tour to the Botanical Garden’s Monarch Waystation to see an actual Butterfly Garden.

HOSTS: Gardening Volunteers of South Texas, San Antonio Water System and San Antonio Botanical Garden

FEE: $10 (entry fee to the Botanical Garden is included)

Optional Hands On: Magnetic boards with various bed shapes and plant material pictures will be available to create your own unique monarch garden!
